Voting is held at the Municipal Center in the Selectboard Meeting Room # 212 on the second floor (there is an elevator at the rear entrance to the building).

Polling hours are 7am to 7pm 


Early voting may be done at the Town Clerk's office

Early/Absentee ballots:

Availability:   20 days prior for local elections
                      45 days for state or national elections

Methods:  ballots may be voted in the Clerk’s Office until 5PM on the Monday before election,
                  mailed to the voter,
                  picked up by the voter – only the voter may pick up their ballot,
                  delivered to the voter by two Justices of the Peace - for those unable to vote in person due to illness or physical disability

           ALL voted ballots must be received by the Town Clerk by 7PM on Election Day to be counted.    

 To request a ballot call 251-8157 or email or print and mail the request form.  The Brattleboro Town Clerk’s office is open from 9-12 on the Saturday prior to an Election for early voting.

 Voter Registration:

Starting in January of 2017 Vermont now has same day voter registration, however to save time on Election Day is it advisable to register in advance to vote by contacting the Town Clerk's Office or online at .

If you are already registered to vote in the town you live in, you do not need to register again.To verify your registration, or change your address within the town, contact your town clerk or go online to
